Nike has created a sneaker that represents many things about China especially Beijing. Every detail of the sneaker is actually based on Chinese culture from its color up to the design. This Nike SB Dunk Mid simply tells a lot of things about China.
This Nike SB Dunk Mid is actually created by collaborating with two other brands namely, Triumvir which is a lifestyle company, and flystreetwear which is a China based skate shop. The upper of this sneaker is created with different types of leather including the cracked like leather on the side panel which represents the traffic jammed highway in China, the smooth white leather on front and side of the toe box which depicts a Chinese using a dust mask, and the patterned leather on the back and the strap which is inspired from Beijing’s expressway and noodles. Even the red insole lining and Nike swoosh, and the sewn yellow SB on the strap represents the color of China’s flag.
Nike has not announced the release dates of this sneaker but expect this to be out on the market really soon.
